Hi, I’m Dr Helen and I am responsible for creating the first UK Allergy Help Course for parents and caregivers. I am a GP and allergy specialist and began my life in the allergy world 14 years ago when my son Ethan was born. Suddenly, I was thrown into the world of eczema and food allergies and it caused me to change direction and retrain in allergy because I realised I knew nothing about how to keep him safe. Since then, I have been passionate about providing better care for the allergy community and trying to increase education amongst doctors and nurses.
I am a trustee for Anaphylaxis UK and I have proudly supported the Sadie Bristow Foundation on their ‘Understanding Allergies’ day. 20% of the profits of our course will be divided between these incredible charities, ensuring their vital work continues and that our allergy community benefits.
As well as the main modules of the course, there will be pop-up bonus lectures by other speakers. We will support you throughout the course on a closed Facebook group and this will remain open for 3 months for you to ask any questions that arise.
All modules will be recorded and available to you for life-long access. It does not matter if you cannot attend live, you can watch back in your own time and ask your questions in the Facebook group after the event.
